Pengembangan IKM Melalui Program Hibah DAPATI Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Produktivitas Perusahaan (Studi Kasus : di IKM Pengecoran Logam PT. XYZ)

Abstract

This paper presents the development of small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) through the DAPATI Grant Program of the Ministry of Industry. The benefits of this program are to help improve the ability of SMEs in the field of application management and industrial technology. As an effort to increase the productivity of SMEs in domestic to be able to compete in the global mar-ket. The case study is applied in foundry SMEs PT. XYZ in the manufacture of polygonal screen equipment for the processing of moulding sand with the purpose of recycling used sand to be reused as sand moulding material. The research method was con-sist of two main activities, namely: the first is the DAPATI grant program and diagnosis to industries a comprehensive by using SWOT analysis to improve company performance. Second is engineering design and the manufacturing of poligonal screen equipment, including: working preparation, manufacturing of working drawing, engineering process, the manufacturing and testing. The polyginal screen equipment prototype has been tested and operated, the resulting of increasing productivity of which were as follow: the sand recycling process increased to be 60 tons/day (before 4 tons/day), number of operators for work-ing at the moulding sand processing unit was decresased to be 2 persons (before 4 persons), the ratio of residues sand additions become to 1: 10 (before 1: 3), the remaining of residues sand addition to be around 70%, so placement of sand was orderly and not messy. The results of this discussion are expected to be examples of cases for improving efficiency, quality and productivity for developing a business of SMEs in domestic for future.

Abstrak

Makalah ini menyajikan pengembangan Indutri Kecil Menengah (IKM) melalui program Hibah DAPATI Kementerian Perindustrian. Manfaat program ini adalah untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan IKM di bidang penerapan manajemen dan teknologi industri. Sebagai upaya peningkatan produktivitas IKM dalam negeri agar mampu bersaing di pasar global. Studi kasus diterapkan di IKM pengecoran logam PT. XYZ dalam pembuatan alat poligonal screen untuk pengolahan pasir cetak dengan tujuan mendaur ulang pasir bekas agar dapat dipakai kembali sebagai bahan cetakan pasir. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan, terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama, yaitu: pertama adalah program hibah DAPATI dan diagnosis perusahaan secara menyeluruh menggunakan analisis SWOT untuk memperbaiki kinerja perusahaan. Kedua adalah rekayasa perancangan dan pembuatan alat poligonal screen, meliputi: persiapan kerja, pembuatan gambar kerja, proses engineering, pembuatan dan uji coba. Prototip poliginal screen telah diuji coba dan dioperasikan dengan hasil peningkatan produktivitas sebagai berikut: proses mendaur ulang pasir meningkat menjadi 60 ton/hari (sebelumnya 4 ton/hari), jumlah operator yang bekerja di unit pengolahan pasir cetak turun menjadi 2 orang (sebelumnya 4 orang), perbandingan penambahan pasir sisa menjadi 1 : 10 (sebelumnya 1 : 3), bongkahan sisa pasir bekas berkurang menjadi sekitar 70% sehingga penempatan pasir teratur dan tidak berantakan. Hasil bahasan ini diharapkan menjadi contoh kasus untuk peningkatan efisiensi, mutu dan produktivitas bagi pengembangan usaha IKM dalam negeri di masa mendatang.
